“Let’s meet at our place” is the greeting on Apple’s invite to its fall event, which lands on September 12 this year. The presentation will be held in the newly constructed Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s new Cupertino headquarters. The theater was specifically designed to host Apple events, and what better way to christen the new space than with what is expected to be a big iPhone debut.

Rumor has it that Apple could debut three new iPhone models at the event: an iPhone 7S, 7S Plus, and the showstopper iPhone 8. Revealing three new iPhone models would already be a departure from the norm, but if rumors are true, the iPhone 8¬†could be the biggest departure from the traditional iPhone design that we’ve seen in years. The new handset may have an edge-to-edge OLED display, getting rid of the top and bottom bezels and slimming down the side bezels, and there may be no physical Home button either. The front-facing camera may have facial recognition software that unlocks the handset at the sight of your face, along with an infrared sensor that makes this process easier in low-light conditions.

According to a Bloomberg report, the iPhone 8’s screen will be taller than that of the iPhone 7 Plus, and the handset will have a glass and stainless steel construction. The display’s corners may also be curved instead of pointed, and, with an OLED panel, that would make the entire front a seamless-looking slate of black. Other rumors include a faster processor, a water-resistant design, wireless charging, and an improved rear camera for better photos and enhanced augmented reality features.
